AWS tip: Use expires metadata in S3 for smooth updating of some CloudFront content

They’ve added more options for “Storage class” since the time of this screenshot, so you might have to scroll down a little to get to “Metadata.” Select “Expires” from the header drop-down menu, then type in a date in the YYYY-MM-DD format in the value field. In this example, that’s Wednesday, August 15, 2018. Be sure to click “Save” before clicking “Next” (you might get a friendly reminder if you don’t).

If you don’t need to add any other metadata, you can either upload at this point or click “Next” to review before uploading.
