Have you thought of a way to measure job offers? Ever since I put Scala on my LinkedIn, I get lots of job offers through LinkedIn, not many for Java. Unfortunately they all require relocation. So maybe it's not so good for staying local.

And why don't you write off Java, with its 3.1% decline? Plenty of people have been writing off Java for the past twenty years.

And if it wasn't for the coronavirus, we could probably also write off COBOL, which will probably continue to exist until we abolish money.
