This was sort of my experience watching Independence Day: Resurgence. I had it on my TV from DVD, as I looked things up on my MacBook and did other things.

A few minutes after the Lieutenant Sergeant almost has an accident installing a cannon on the moon and gets chewed out by the Colonel Sergeant Major, I decided I just didn’t care what happens to any of the characters, so I stopped the DVD, ejected it, put it back in its case and took it back to the public library.
